Actually labeled "Rivers of Fate", this tape of mostly earlier stuff recorded at DJC's various living spaces/studios does not have much overlap with other 1992/1993 tapes, so it became "Bourbon" after the song. Hey, Councel-ites,

Subject: LRC - Albums in my i-Tunes library

I can burn ya'll a DVD or Flash-Drive from the LRC Album List below (the DVD will only play in a computer, but u can download the songs you want to your computer for burning to CD or, just keep it for back-up), if you would like that. I have this list burned on DVD, and there are 95 songs on it, and I can still fit much more on the dvd, but u cannot play it on a DVD player, only on your computer. It is mainly a back-up disc for all my i-Tunes.

Otherwise, separate CDs or Song-DVDs will be forthcoming, when I get a consensus from all the LRC members that the songs picked for each album are correct and in the proper order, etc.

Brian and I have started on the downloading songs from the tapes we have, and that may take a while, but some of these albums may be complete, and I'll try to get those out as soon as I can. I think we all should agree on the artwork, and about trademark issues as well, before I go to print.

Have I forgotten an album? PLEASE advise!! E-mail me and let me know .....

First, A Little History

Way back in the mists of the early 90's, a band came into being. That band was to be called either Liquid Raisin Council or Crusty Eye Morsels. We went with the Council, because we didn't like "the Morsels."

The band, in general, was fond of prog, psych, and somewhat experimental rock, with doses of folk, funk, pop and noise. (The least said of the band's venture into jazz -- the execrable studio offshoot band Wet Rain -- the better.)

Many of these elements still haunt the band's sound and indeed may be detected beneath the just-this-side-of-lo-fi-home-grown production values. These production values, it should be noted, have gotten better over the years, due to the dedication of the two main producers, who shall be named later.

Well, dear readers, season your admiration for a while, with an attent ear, until I may deliver, upon witness of the other members of the Council, this marvel to you. That is to say, more history in future posts. It is my intention to gather, so much as I may glean, other pieces of the band's history from the perspective of the other members and from friends and other interested parties. And, hopefully, lots of pics, vids and songs.
